Sniper Elite V2 demo
Saturday, April 28th, 2012Really enjoyed the ‘campaign’ demo for #SniperEliteV2. Its your typical shooter, but this time as a sniper. I am usually a run-n-gunner so my first challenge was to slow down and enjoy creeping along blasting skulls from great distances. And my favorite part was the target marking binoculars…sick!!!!
They chose not to give you a taste of the MP on the demo, but after you finish the demo mission, they are quick to tell you that the full game will have online play. Gets 2 Bjamer thumbs up.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier MP Beta Demo
Saturday, April 28th, 2012What is my short review on #TCsGRFS mp beta? Its fun and has easy online gameplay. Wish they had given us a taste of the campaign though. Same poor choice of demo material selection from these franchises. Just like the #Battlefield3 demo and other shooters that I did not buy after playing the MP demo, I doubt I will throw down 60 without trying the campaign play. Like so many, it will be added to a very long wishlist of games that I will buy once they age enough to be on #xboxlive DLC for 20 bucks. #ghostrecon #futuresoldier gets a bjamer thumbs up.
Catherine Demo
Saturday, April 28th, 2012#catherine demo? Thumbs down. Not what I thought it was. More like a weird cartoon of the #Portal games. I have no patience for that. I suspect their demo is just a side puzzle of the main game. If it is…another bad choice by franchises in what they choose as demo play.
Dragon’s Dogma Demo
Saturday, April 28th, 2012Looks like @capcom has a winner with #dragonsdogma due this May. Demo is outstanding! For fans of #Fable #Skyrim #DragonAge etc. It has Bjamer’s 2 thumbs up!
I didn’t see any ‘collectibles’, but it is two fight scenes that you are getting in the demo. As an item collector and trophy hunter, I would be dissappointed if Capcom leaves that out of the game.
The avatar customization is first rate and you even get to customize your side-kick! I made mine look like my #Fable king!
Dragonage 2 vs. Fable 3
Tuesday, April 17th, 2012Well I finished the campaign in #dragonage2 today. I quite enjoyed the game and found it to be very similar to #Fable3 with just a few differences.
In #DragonAge2 you can customize your avatar, which would be a fun option to have in #Fable3. I found the environments and characters in #DragonAge2 to be less ‘cartoonish’ than #Fable3, but the big disappointment came after the credits rolled.
I expected to go back and finish secondary missions and relationships, but was very sad to find ‘game over’ isolation to my estate. There is nothing more you can play unless you buy additional DLC’s. The only re-playability offered is to build a new character and start over.
#Fable masters re-playability and adds multi-player coop fun as well. On top of it, each DLC purchased is a continuance of your game. A mark #DragonAge2 missed completely. You can also enjoy building families, marriages and relationships in the #Fable games and even tinker around as a real estate mogul.
#fable has guns and #dragonage has arrows. Both have magic, swords, shields and a pet dog! There’s lots of fun in both for us ‘collectors’ and #trophyhunters but beware in #dragonage…finish collecting before you move to last main mission, as you can not go back.
Just like #Fable3, you can be straight, gay or bi-sexual in #dragonage3, but you don’t have much control over relationships and the whorehouse just takes your money…then insta-cuts to you standing in a room alone, lol.
Overall, I am hoping that the #Fable franchise gets their heads out of their asses and makes the new/upcoming game available for those of us that don’t/can’t use kinect. Horrible business decision.
And I will definitely buy the new #Dragonage3 that they are working on. I will also buy the 3 available DLC’s to extend the game further. I recommend both games and all the DLC’s.
bjamer.com new look
Thursday, April 12th, 2012I stumbled upon this tree during a business trip and couldn’t believe how much the bark looked like camo! So I used the pic to re-design the site with a fresh new look.
Bjamer doll
Thursday, April 12th, 2012One of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve received. An auditor made this for me and gave it to me at a RGIS party they threw for me when I was promoted and moved to Cali. (20 years ago and a different career). That’s me with my Supervisor shirt, bag of audit tags and micro-computer audit machine.
