Dont play this game if you’ve played any games from the Forza franchise. Its just a sucky copy in comparison. If you haven’t…then you might be impressed with the knock-off elements, but be warned…the handling while driving is horrible!
Thanks to this guy for posting this. There are NO instructions or training on controls at the beginning of this game. You have to start your career before the 2ku (the last menu item) opens up. Then later you can go back there to learn the basics. I noticed it was available after my second game.
Ive never tried a basketball video game but played hoops as a kid, so I wanted to try it. This game has the longest list of controls I have ever seen in a game! It is NOT for newbies. BUT..I still had fun creating B Jammer and playing it brought back fond memories.
This was the last game I played on Black Ops 3 before deleting from my console. It was the last nail in the COD coffin for me. They have ruined the game. This was a frustrating match trying to play with peeps that were playing Team Deathmatch for kills, instead of the objective.
I dont blame the players. The COD gods have changed the game so much that there is not enuf reason to chase the objective. They have turned it into a Facebook game of in-game token purchases to dress ur avatar; have put the letter “I” in the word Team and somehow made it obsolete.
No one I know plays it anymore, because its just not fun. Those that have it still installed are zombie players only.
Its still a shotgun game if you want kills but they finally work! I was disappointed the lancer still doesnt kill anything and its really difficult to get a chainsaw execution. The new version of the boomshot is the only map weapon i could beat the race to and it was pretty much the same.
Graphics are impressive but most enjoyable is the improvement in movement. Only glitch I found is that after spawn the camera moves upward and you need to pull it down after running forward a bit.
Skill based ranking is a blessing!!! You play 5 matches at first load and then it matches you to equal players. You can actually enjoy playing without the frustration of being pitted against pro players and the spawn-die – spawn-die! I saw peeps trying to wall bounce but they were unsuccessful. Umm….maybe smiley face?
My fav and most fun hands down was the new co-op TDM hardcore against AI’s. Peeps are working as a team and those AI’s are NO JOKE! Its a ton of fun!
This game JUST fell short of taking my money after going thru the beta. The big pro was to be able to play co-op with my friends during the campaign part. However they designed it to be too dark and difficult to see. And although I like collecting games, the searching for parts became tiresome and unfulfilling.
Then we got to the multiplayer versus part at the end….well, it all fell apart. We all made some small mistake that would label us rogue and ban us from playing with our buddies. One friend, had all his stuff stolen from another random player. Whats the opposite of fun?
I bought this to play with my gamerpal Stormy and was disappointed in several fronts. First, there is no campaign. Second, the situations can only be played alone-not with friends. And the online matches are the same short mission over and over again. There are different types but if you get killed. ..you are done. Not just for the round but for the entire match! Dumb.
Here we go!…Storm and I are just starting the Black Ops 3 campaign co-op.
We were hoping the collectibles would still be visible to the person that already had it, but not the case. If you are helping someone collect, then you have to blindly remember where they are.
There IS the ability to revive your teammate and if one dies, there is respawn. But be aware that the revive process is long and its easy to die trying to save your friend.
Game save has been the biggest disappointment. Unlike Gears where you can select Act then Chapter – or hit continue….in Blops 3 co-op lobby, if you hit ‘continue’, it loads the solo campaign of the host. So you HAVE to finish each mission before you quit playing because you are forced to start from the beginning each time.
The missions are long and since our focus on the first run through is collectibles, we average 2 hours per. (We are detailed hunters.) On our “realistic” run through, this may make it tougher. Time will tell. But we haven’t ran thru yet without searching so it should be a fraction of the time.
(More game review later)
After my MP fail, I went to create a private match in Gears of War 1:Ultimate Edition on Xbox One. Unfortunately, I discovered that there are no AI’s to play with! Tip: Bring friends with you. If you play alone, then you either have to have patience to wait for the MP lobby to fill or go back to Trophy hunting in Campaign. You CAN start or join a co-op campaign and hope the stranger that joins you has a mic and is not an asswipe.
I dont know if I should call myself “Lucky Bitch” or “Unlucky Loser”. I setup my new X1 and headed over to try out the COD 3 Beta when I’m met with a message, “….enjoy the last day of beta.” What?! Crap.
I was so disappointed in Advanced Warfare that I started up the beta with low expectations. I wish they would have given you even a minute of ‘training’, as death is the only way to figure out buttons and functions as you are thrown in the fire. But it’s a beta. The game will have a training area somewhere.
I was actually impressed with the handling of the basic weapons. Even without attachments, you can spend more time enjoying the play instead of shouting explitives because the gun kicks like…well, a bull on Rocky Mountain Oyster harvesting day.
I was also disappointed to see the inclusion of the jetpacks. Add the grappling and running on walls with steel armour and the original feel and enjoyment of COD is gone. They should call it “COD wed Halo and had Space Marine babies”. Each one of these games offer a different enjoyable experience…mixed together its mud.
What you heard is true. ..the graphics are amazingly beautiful and the avatar control is creamy smooth. At first, I thought there was 1 female but it appears there are more. It’s hard to tell in the character selection page. Some of the faces were a male/female blend. One looked like the hooded character from AC and that turned out to be female.
It was all enough to convince me too give COD another chance (I have all but quit playing after AW) when it comes out, but my severe disappointment was they didn’t fix the same Multiplayer shinanigans…spawn trapping. I literally could not play more than 4-5 matches before i gave up due to spawn, die and repeat indefinitely.
Gears fixed it with Spawn Protection. Surely all the geniuses working on COD could come up with something. I honestly don’t know how the COD Managing Group entices new gamers to their franchise. Novices (noobs) don’t stand a chance of learning how to engage in MP, when there are so many veterans of the franchise exercising poor gamesmanship and rendering MP unplayable.
Im not alone in my feelings about the spawn trapping issue and the sci-fi equipment additions. These are the same reasons why all my gamerpals also gave up on AW and have no intent to throw down $120 for another COD game (game & 4 dlcs) until they hear that some fix has been made.
I most definitely will buy the game for the campaign and private play. However, its doubtful changes will be made to lure me into MP. I DID read somewhere that there will be online coop! If true, this could save it. Like our group of gamerpals in Bjamerland, there is nothing more fun than playing thru the Gears campaign or setting up private matches with your fav friends to work on cheevos together.
