Sable 3 tip: finding books

Well, if you are like me and running around looking for those last handful of books, don’t waste your time until you finish ALL of the challenges. I found that the last few books appear in the final missions.

Also…you probably purchased every house that was available, right? After it occurred to me to check every single house, I found five or six more. Just kick the tenants out, clear the house and then re-rent it.

Bulletstorm tip – how to kill plant boss

I tried all of my weapons tryn to wipe out the 5 membranes on the flower boss but couldn’t get it done. Then I realized its all in the SLIDE. Shoot one, slide, shoot another, shoot head to stun, slide, shoot feet, slide, once the membranes turn red…shoot the last 3. I did it with just the default weapon.

Sims3 tip: to get 100% trophys

To get all of the achievements/trophies in #Sims3 create new games for each group of related challenges you are working on. They are attached to your GT (gamertag) not the game.

So for instance, create an evil character and game save for all the criminal and evil challenges.

xbox live vs psn

Funny…despite my mixed reviews of xbox after I got it, I find I play more xbox360 now than PS3. Mostly because my gaming can be tracked and fed through my social media outlets. Sony says they don’t – due to security. Seems like a company as big as that could come up with a work-around.

I wonder how many other duel-console players are doing the same.

This site is great for Trophy-Hunters. It will generate your gaming card with custom bacgrounds from your fav games that you get to choose. It also has Trophy Manuals/Walkthroughs, Reviews of games and a huge gamer forum.

Disappointed in new raptr.com

ugh….I’m not happy with the new raptr.com at all. This is why I joined rapr: http://old.raptr.com/bjamer and this is why I want to start my search for a gaming library site all over again: http://raptr.com/bjamer

You are now unable to add games to your library that are missing from their database. In fact, the only way to ‘suggest’ a missing game is to use the old site.

Gaming library project

Took me longer than I had anticipated, but I finally got most of my games library up. I narrowed the websites down to 3. I started on gamerdna.com, then tried playfire.com, but after getting through half my list on each one, I gave up. Too many games missing from their databases. So I ended up on raptr.com.

My fav GUI is still playfire…I like the clean way they put it together – espciallly, the games thumbnail list. I also like the ‘Rarity of Acheivements’ feature. And the ‘Badges’ are another way to feed us trophy hunters.

gamerDNA has a nice ‘Media’ upload feature to show off your custom avatars. The quizes that report your player type are fun. But I think the profile pages need a lot of work. And adding new games is way too much work. Most are missing the artwork. ;(

raptr is not my favorite interface, but they excel in their database feed technology – especially with social media sites and player real-time stats. In the end, they were awarded my game library project because they had all but 1 of the games I’ve logged so far. Even the very old but goodies from SNES and NES days.
